Junior Curators’ Club

August 6 @ 2:00 PM - August 27 @ 4:00 PM

The Junior Curators Club is a chance for you to put your creativity to the test. This program, held on every Saturday 2-4pm of August, is an exciting chance for you to experience first hand what it’s like to be a museum curator. Over the month of August we have 4 programs/ activities planned;

  1.  Scavenger Hunt Extravaganza (August 6)
    • A quick introduction and a tour of the museum followed by a fun scavenger hunt with prizes at the end!
  2. Telling Stories (August 13)
    • What’s the most interesting part of a book? That’s right, the movie about it! On this day we will be turning a fun story from Creston’s past into a short skit with you as the actors. (it will be filmed so your parents will get to watch it)
  3. Shoe Box Museums (August 20)
    • In a shoe box, you will design and create a miniature exhibit based off of your favourite exhibit at the museum.
  4. Butter & Biscuits (August 27)
    • A chance for your parents, family, and friends to come in and see what you have created throughout the program while enjoying a butter and biscuit snack, which will also be made by you.
