Your daily dose of history for today is pretty much guaranteed to get you completely sidetracked for the rest of the day.

Historic photographs from the Creston Museum – now available online!

Our very own section full of historic local photos on the BCRDH website!!!!!!!!

(We’re very excited about this, as you might have noticed)

These are wonderful photos – we chose them specifically because they show the Creston Valley as it was before the massive expansion of the community before 1947, and before the transformative aftermath of the flood of 1948. Browse through them and experience for yourself just how much the Creston Valley has changed!

Click on the photo above or here to access the collection. And, since one purpose of this Daily Dose of History series is to give you something to do, don’t forget to tell us which are your favourites, or to share any additional information about the people, places, and activities depicted.

And, if that’s not enough – choose your favourite photo and try to recreate it showing today’s landscape!
