Task Overview: Reply to public research requests for genealogical information – birth, death, marriages. Most records are in the local newspapers, and fairly quick and easy to find. Occasionally, requests involve more in-depth searches to find photographs, family histories, and other sources. Send responses via phone, mail, or email, by scanning and/or photocopying as requested.
Job Type: Ongoing
Suitable for: Individuals / Job-Sharing
Schedule: Typically, one to two hours, twice a month, depending on the number of requests received. We can simply call or email you when a request comes in, too.
Requirements: Some basic research and computer skills, and a willingness to learn how to use our scanners and email program if you don’t have those skills already. Good typing and/or proofreading skills.
