Task Overview: Board members guide the operations of the Creston & District Museum & Archives. You set long-term goals, and establish the short-term objectives that will get us there; you also establish budgets and make sure we’re staying on track – with budgets and objectives. You look for new opportunities, help overcome challenges, and connect the Museum with the community. You support the activities of the Museum and Archives by supporting fundraising efforts, taking on a task force or committee, and/or assisting with events, programs, and exhibits.

Schedule: The Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 PM. Meetings generally last about an hour. Additional time for preparation, planning, and support activities is required, but can be very flexible.
Requirements: Board members must be members of the Creston & District Historical & Museum Society, which operates the Museum & Archives (individual memberships are $15 per year). Ability to attend the Annual General Meeting (usually late April) and most monthly Board meetings is required. We are looking for people to be active leaders in shaping the Museum and its role in the community.
